ABOUT SPENCER ALDRICH

Owner of Aldrich Law, LLc

(The one on the right)

I'm a Midwesterner born and raised, but am proud to have called Oregon home for over 10 years. After growing up in Columbus, Ohio, and obtaining my B.A at Miami University, I came west. I worked in a warehouse for a year after college...loading and unloading trucks and managing freight...before going to Law School at Chapman University in southern California.

At Chapman, I discovered a passion for helping people. In addition to the "standard" law curriculum, I studied animal law, bankruptcy, and estate planning. I especially enjoyed the elder law clinic, where I represented elderly community members who needed help with their estates and protection from abuse.

After law school, I moved to Oregon in 2009. Work was hard to find in those days, and I started by helping a small business up on the mountain that wanted to be sure it was treating its employees right and complying with the law. I then worked for a large education company that provided free after-school tutoring all across the Northwest. Eventually, I found himself working for one of the major insurance companies.

I worked for that carrier for years. Initially training and managing paralegals, then defending its insureds in both Workers' Compensation and personal injury matters. This experience gave me tremendous insight into the "other side." I know how the insurance companies operate, how they evaluate claims, and how they make decisions. I know their playbook. However, overtime I found that work to be hollow. I needed to get back to the core goal of helping people, so I left defense work, and "switched sides."

I joined a pair of top-notch WC and PI litigators with 30 years of experience, each, as their associate. I spent 4 years with them...honing the skills needed to excel at representing the injured, rather than the defense. In 2021, it became time to start my own firm.

When not practicing law, I enjoy film photography, cooking, gaming (the very, very nerdy kind), and I'm really looking forward to learning how to make furniture in an as-yet-unbuilt woodshop. We also have far too many chickens, cats, a dog, and I keep honeybees.
